pe\u00e7as de alum\u00ednio para prote\u00e7\u00e3o contra o desgaste e a corros\u00e3o, bem como para efeitos cosm\u00e9ticos. Trata-se de um revestimento de convers\u00e3o, semelhante ao Alodine, o que significa que a superf\u00edcie do alum\u00ednio recua dimensionalmente antes de a camada protetora de \u00f3xido ser formada. Ap\u00f3s a conclus\u00e3o do processo, a camada de \u00f3xido \u00e9 parte integrante do substrato de alum\u00ednio por baixo, o que significa que n\u00e3o lasca nem descasca.<\/p><p>O nome anodiza\u00e7\u00e3o vem do facto de a pe\u00e7a tratada formar um \u00e2nodo (el\u00e9trodo positivo) num circuito el\u00e9trico. Durante este processo, a pe\u00e7a a anodizar \u00e9 pendurada num suporte condutor e mergulhada numa solu\u00e7\u00e3o electrol\u00edtica, onde \u00e9 introduzida uma corrente el\u00e9ctrica direta. Enquanto a acidez da solu\u00e7\u00e3o dissolve a camada de \u00f3xido da pe\u00e7a, a corrente el\u00e9ctrica liberta oxig\u00e9nio na sua superf\u00edcie, que forma uma camada protetora de \u00f3xido de alum\u00ednio. Ao equilibrar a taxa de dissolu\u00e7\u00e3o com a taxa de acumula\u00e7\u00e3o, a camada de \u00f3xido forma-se com nanoporos, permitindo o crescimento cont\u00ednuo do revestimento para al\u00e9m do que \u00e9 naturalmente poss\u00edvel.<\/p><p>As etapas finais do processo de anodiza\u00e7\u00e3o envolvem a selagem dos nanoporos. Caso contr\u00e1rio, estes s\u00e3o as passagens perfeitas para o in\u00edcio da corros\u00e3o! No entanto, pouco antes da selagem, s\u00e3o por vezes preenchidos com outros inibidores de corros\u00e3o ou corantes coloridos para fins cosm\u00e9ticos.
