Le culbutage est un proc\u00e9d\u00e9 de finition utilis\u00e9 pour nettoyer, \u00e9bavurer et lisser l\u00e9g\u00e8rement les petites pi\u00e8ces. Le culbutage utilise un tambour horizontal dans lequel les pi\u00e8ces sont plac\u00e9es, ainsi qu'un support, tel que du sable ou des copeaux de c\u00e9ramique. Le tambour tourne lentement, ce qui fait glisser le support \u00e0 plusieurs reprises sur les pi\u00e8ces, brisant les ar\u00eates vives et lissant l\u00e9g\u00e8rement la surface.
