Die Beschichtung erfolgt durch eine rein chemische Reaktion und ohne Einsatz von Elektrizit\u00e4t. Dieses Verfahren dauert zwar wesentlich l\u00e4nger als die Galvanisierung, bietet aber den Vorteil einer gleichm\u00e4\u00dfigeren Schichtdicke selbst auf den komplexesten Oberfl\u00e4chen (da man sich nicht auf wechselnde elektrische Felder verlassen muss) sowie einer besseren Verschlei\u00df- und Korrosionsbest\u00e4ndigkeit.
